Our First Compassionate Action Event
THank you Oak Park for partnering with us!
Oak Park artists, musicians, community organizations and small businesses shared their compassion in action as well as great food, music and conversation. What did we do? Mostly hang out and get to know each other, meet new people and practice kindness. As one attendee put it, "I feel the love!"
Speakers included: Maj. Renee Marie of the Peace Pole Garden Project, Vietnam Veteran Bobbie Knapp of Peace Pals International who honored veterans and the path to peace as part of acknowledging the day as POW/MIA Commemoration Day.
We wish to thank the venue host and Compassionate Alliance member, California Cares 4 Vets and Oak Park Brewery for letting us use their parking lot as well as the vendors to spent their time and energy in creating this with us:
Oak Park Neighborhood Association, Yolanda's Tamales, DavePops, The Straight Out Scribes: Staajabu and Dr. V.S.
