Compassionate Sacramento Resolution Passed
On July 25, 2017 Sacramento City Council passed the resolution drafted by Compassionate Capital Region to affirm the city's membership in the Charter for Compassion. This aspirational designation is a call to action for our city to honor the good works being done, and to shape our policies and our hearts to live up to the vision of a compassionate city.
About the International Campaign
We live in a city rich in natural and human resources. Over 5,000 non-profit organizations call our capitol region home. We live in the top producing agricultural state in country. Nearly 30% of our region's are young, college educated single adults (9% above national average) hope to build thriving careers and businesses in our city. These are three of many examples of the city’s strengths.

The International Campaign for Compassionate Cities is a global campaign inspired by the Golden Rule (treat all others as you wish to be treated yourself) to raise awareness of the benefits of compassionate action.
